  • 1 egg

  • Royal icing & food coloring (for decorating)

Directions

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt (your dry ingredients).
  • In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  • Gradually add flour mixture and combine into dough.
  • Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into bunny shapes.
  • Chill for 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes.
  • Decorate with icing after cooling.

  • Melt the Chocolate:
  • There are a few ways to melt the chocolate. Double boiler method: Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan with simmering water. Stir until fully melted.
    Microwave method: Heat chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  • Optional: Temper the Chocolate (for a glossy finish):
  • Melt ⅔ of the chocolate and remove from heat.
  • Stir in the remaining ⅓ chocolate, allowing it to melt naturally.
  • Fill the Molds:
  • Pour melted chocolate into Easter bunny molds, tapping gently to remove air bubbles.
  • If adding sprinkles, lightly press them into the chocolate before it sets.
  • Chill & Set:
  • Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until fully hardened.
  • Unmold & Enjoy:
  • Gently pop the bunnies out of the mold and store in a cool, dry place.
